The Ignacio School District held its 71st Annual Commencement Ceremonies inside the Ignacio High School Gymnasium on Saturday, May 24, to a packed house of families, loved ones and guests of the 31 graduates. Kendrick Nossaman gave the invocation before Superintendent; Chris deKay welcomed all in attendance. Senior Angelo Frost, introduced Crystal Redman who gave the Commencement Address, followed by an honor song by Stoney White Thunder. Ignacio High School Principal, Alisha Gullion recognized Masonic, Salutatorian, Senior of the Month, and 4.0 and above students, before introducing Valedictorian – Victoria Brown. Alejandra Prambo Howe gave the parent dedication before the traditional slideshow. Superintendent deKay presented the graduating class to School Board President, Allen McCaw, with the school board members presenting the graduates with their hard-earned diplomas. Caitlin Perkins led the tassel switch, before Bailey Pennington gave the closing Benediction.
