The Southern Ute Education Department hosted a two-week film workshop for tribal students, Monday, July 8 through Tuesday, July 16. Krystyn Weaver, Houston Cunningham, Sequoia Cunningham, and Leandra Litz learn film making skills from professional film makers Bruce Borowsky and Joey Lopez. Students worked to create a short documentary based on this year’s Tri-Ute Games, filming all sporting events and interviewing participants. On Tuesday, July 16, each student was given a certificate recognizing their hard work and dedication to creating their film; the film’s premier date will be announced later.
