Ignacio celebrates graduates’ commencement

Ignacio High School held its 2024 Commencement Ceremony, Saturday, May 25, in the Ignacio High School Gymnasium. 47 graduates crossed the stage receiving their diplomas, to rousing cheers and tears of happiness. Solymar Cosio gave the invocation. Willow Shulz introduced the Commencement Address presenters, Cody Haga and Jordan Larsen, complete with Larsen donning shades, while Haga dropped rhymes. Retiring Principal, Barb Fjerstad recognized the Salutatorian, Masonic, and Senior of the Month students. Grace Pargin gave the Valedictorian address, and Moriah Ashley closed the ceremony with the Benediction.

Congratulations and blessings to all of the 2024 graduates!

“Go forward with courage. When you are in doubt, be still, and wait; when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage. So long as mists envelop you, be still; be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists – as it surely will. Then act with courage.” – Chief White Eagle, Ponca Chief
