Southern Ute tribal member Terrance Barry and daughter Symone Barry create splatter paint art at the Dancing Spirit Community Arts Center booth using acrylic paints in water guns, a creative way to get students painting. The booth was located outside of the Ignacio Elementary School and welcomed students and their families.
Students enjoyed a variety of games at the Boys and Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe booth which was located directly outside of the Ignacio Middle School.
Southern Ute tribal member Lane Frost at the petting zoo provided by the Ignacio FFA, students were able to pet goats, sheep, chickens, and rabbits.

Multiple food vendors lined the street of Romero Ave. including tacos, ice cream truck, and a kettle corn stand. Kettle Corn was popular amongst students and families visiting the Back-to-School Bash.

Back-to-School Bash, block party


Ignacio School District welcomed all students and their families to attend the Back-to-School Bash block party held on Thursday, Aug. 18 along Romero Ave. between the Ignacio Elementary School and the Ignacio Middle School. The event gave students the chance to meet their teachers, enjoy local food trucks, games, and various activities. Food trucks, painting activities, petting zoo, bouncy house, kiddie train, and various games lined the street as families walked from school to school.
