Fields of fun for students

The Ignacio Elementary Field Day was split into two groups on Thursday, May 26, with third through fifth grades competing in the morning and first and second grades competing in the afternoon. The day’s events included the three-legged race, sack race, bouncy-ball, egg-and-spoon relay, foam rocket throw, softball toss, and 50-yard and relay races. Each class competed head-to-head in a tug-o-war to close out each class competition respectively. P.E. teachers, Oscar Cosio and Cindy Valdez lead the events with assistance from teachers and volunteers.
