Teachers retire from SUIMA

Judi Cole joined The Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy (SUIMA) in the school year 2005-2006. Including her years with SUIMA, she has been an educator (teacher and reading specialist) for 40 years. She has taught in Wyoming and Brighton, Colo., before coming to SUIMA. When she retires, she will be going back to Wyoming where she will enjoy taking photos, exploring the mountains, hiking in Yellowstone, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cheryl Ongtowasruk joined SUIMA in 2015 as an elementary teacher. She is resigning from SUIMA to take a position with Alaska Pacific University as an Admissions Counselor. By moving to Anchorage, Cheryl will be closer to her family, some of whom still live in Nome.
