Natelle Thompson, Fort Lewis College graduate is recognized by the Education Department and Tribal Council for earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology of Human Studies and for making the Dean’s list. Thompson is the current Youth Employment and Sunshine Cloud Smith Youth Advisory Council Coordinator for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s Education Department.

Graduates receive top honors


The 18th annual Education Banquet was held on Friday, June 28 at the SkyUte Casino Resort The banquet was held to honor and recognize students, graduates and apprentices for their educational achievements. The Education Department and the Johnson-O’Mally Committee honored recent graduates with plaques, certificates, art and Pendleton blankets. Families and friends filled the event center of the Casino to celebrate and honor those accomplishments.
