Department of Higher Education held a back to school BBQ for students and facility from Ignacio, Durango and Bayfield Monday, Sept. 18 at the Southern Ute Multi-Purpose Facility in Ignacio. Backporch BBQ from Bayfield provided the food, Magic Brush did face painting and Higher Education put on a raffle that had prizes from games, fit bits, bikes, Go Pros and much more. SUIMA performed a song, Southern Ute Royalty made and appearance as well as council members.
