The Head Start Elementary School recently hosted their annual Christmas lunch on Wednesday, Dec. 14, where members of the Southern Ute Police Department served them a warm holiday meal. Santa Claus also paid a special surprise visit to the kids. In addition to the festivities, Head Start staff members said their goodbyes to Samuel Harrison who retired as the school’s family advocate for 12 years since its inception. Staff members stated that Harrison has been a “model of grace and respect and has treated all with kindness, humor, and storytelling”.
