The Southern Ute Education Department hosted its annual Back to School Barbeque on Wednesday, Oct. 5, which invited tribal students and families to celebrate the school year. An assortment of gifts were handed out from the Southern Ute Education Department, and Superintendent Rocco Fuschetto spoke to congratulate the district on the success of being removed from Colorado’s priority-improvement list. Vice Councilwoman Lorelei Cloud and Executive Officer Ramona Eagle also spoke and wished the students a good school year.
