Hundreds of students took an oath given by IES Principal, Mrs. Kathy Herrera, to read more, Wednesday, March 2 in Cafe Lupe.
Marcos Brown and Sonny Flores dressed as the Grinch for the special occasion, celebrating the birthday of Dr. Suess, an American writer and illustrator, who authored many popular children’s books.
Ignacio Elementary School Principal, Kathy Herrera read "Oh, the Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss.
Ignacio Elementary students either dressed up or donned cutouts, or self-made hats, some even wore makeup and a teachers wore Dr. Seuss’ “Cat in the Hat” inspired hats.
