The Dancing Spirit Community Arts Center hosted a Family Art Night on Thursday, July 30, inviting the Boys & Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and their families for an evening of yoga and snacks. Lifelong athlete, Steve Ilg, provided the yoga lessons. His experience in yoga and personal training date back to 1982. “Namaste, and thank you all for being here. We gather together to be one with nature, and with ourselves,” he said. “This training is a way to strengthen our body, mind, and spirit.” The Boys & Girls Club participated in various yoga poses, stretches, and breaths before going digging into their snacks. More art programs are expected to be held in the near future.
