The Lego League competition made its return to Miller Middle School in Durango on Saturday, Dec. 6, pitting a number of youth teams against each other in categories of science and robotics. Teams Saint Dogs and Dill Pickle Lego Masters represented the Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy and Ignacio Elementary School. Students had to present a skit that focused on the fundamentals of science, before finally testing their custom robots designed with Legos. The competition is held to teach young students how to be creative with science experimentation.
