Boys & Girls Club kicks off summer

The Boys & Girls Club summer program welcomed new members to the group. Approximately one hundred members are now enrolled in the club.

Lindsay Box, coordinator, helps serve lunch to club members. Burgers, hot dogs, watermelon, and ice-cold drinks were served.

The club members spent their free time enjoying fun and games while sharing laughs with one another.

The Boys & Girls Club kicked off their summer program with a barbeque that welcomed new club members and acknowledged staff that has shown extra support for the group. The club gathered at Ignacio Town Park on Friday, June 20 where members were treated with grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and fruit. The club welcomed approximately one hundred members from Ignacio, Bayfield, Durango and Aztec. The program runs until August 15 where it will conclude with another barbeque. Club Secretary, Hilda Burch and Coordinator Jeff Ward were paid tribute for their dedication.
