GOAL Academy is a free public school opportunity for students throughout Colorado to earn an accredited Colorado Department of Education high school diploma. GOAL combines on-line learning with experiential learning, on-site classes such as film study courses and chess class, self-designed electives, and concurrent enrollment opportunities for students who excel and want to earn college credit while still in high school.
GOAL offers students flexibility so they can juggle school, work, and family commitments without the stress of doing “seat time” to complete graduation requirements. Academic Coaches and support staff are on site to provide face-to-face assistance. Course assistance provided by highly qualified content specialists is available on line from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Fridays. Students can work independently 7 days a week, 24 hours per day.
You are invited to come to an informational meeting at the Ignacio Community Library on Monday, June 16, at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about this unique schooling option.
