Sage visits academy

Lynette Sage, daughter of the late Southern Ute Chairman Leonard C. Burch, stopped by the Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy’s Upper Elementary Class on Wednesday, Jan. 29. She presented information on the Animas-La Plata Project to the students to promote participation in the second annual Leonard C. Burch Art and Literacy Contest. The contest is open to all students enrolled in the Ignacio School District and all Southern Ute tribal members in grades K-12. Email tcollins@southernute-nsn.gov for more information.
