Bear Dance Chief, Matthew Box and his family gave a workshop on the Bear Dance to the Hope Community Christian Academy, Thursday, April 14. Bear Dance Chief Box spoke of the history and protocol of the Ute dance, which is held traditionally each spring. The workshop included Bear Dance rules and participation information. Box, a former Southern Ute Chairman, also spoke about the Southern Ute Tribe to the Hope Academy students and staff.
