Some of the bigger events for the 98thAnnual Southern Tribal Fair were the horse events. The Chicken Pull, Watermelon Bare Back horse race, Painted Horse competition along with the Sam Burch Memorial Horsemanship Trophy were held on Sept. 8-9 at the Sky Ute Fair Grounds Race Track and Arena. The fun and competitive nature of these events brings participants and onlookers to the Southern Ute Fairgrounds each year.
