The annual open co-ed tug of war competition brought teams together to face off for cash prizes. This year the “We Tried” team from Ignacio, Colo. placed first in the contest.

The 98th Annual Southern Ute Tribal Fair contests were in full effect this past weekend Friday, Sept. 7 — Sunday, Sept. 9. Contests such as the Youth Games, the Co-ed Tug-O-War and the new 3 on 3 Co-ed Volleyball tournament took place at the Southern Ute Fairgrounds. Many of the contest events are enjoyed each year — by spectators and participants alike.
