Machaa (Hello),

I am 13 years old and attend Ignacio Middle School where I am in the 7th grade. My parents are Roger Sage Jr. & Lynnette Sage and I have a brother, Derek. My paternal grandparents are Roger Sage and Christine Sage and the late Vera Mae Cuthair. My maternal grandparents are Irene Burch and the late Leonard C. Burch.

The events that I have attended this year: 10 Year Anniversary of the Ignacio Community Library building, the annual Thanksgiving Powwow in Fort Duchesne, Utah, Youth Bull Riding Finals in Ignacio, Colo., Southern Ute Tribal End of Term and Inauguration ceremonies, and Ute Mountain Ute Royalty Christmas Eve Powwow in Towaco, Colo.

Along with my fellow Southern Ute Royalty members, we’ve had a  Halloween carnival fundraiser, a Thanksgiving Walk for the  community and sang in the annual Southern Ute Christmas program. I am enjoying my reign and learning a lot. I have met new people and seen new places. I am looking forward to future events.
