Tribal members gathered at the Southern Ute Cultural Center & Museum on Wednesday, March 9 to gain a lesson in fabricating ribbon material, instructed by Edward Box III. An assortment of colorful material was available for all in attendance. The Southern Ute Culture Department additionally hosted a shawl making class on Wednesday, March 10, bringing tribal elders together in crafting creative attire for Bear Dance season. From butterflies to roses, elders brought their imaginative ideas to the table.
