‘Water is life, Water is Sacred’

Tribal elder Kenny Frost and Shiprock Chapter President Chili Yazzie offered blessings for the river, Saturday, Sept. 5 in Shiprock, NM. After the walk GeoSource provided a demonstration on how a Solar Panel System can filter polluted water.
Dozens walked the eight-mile trek to Nizhoni Park, where a river blessing was held for the San Juan River, Saturday, Sept. 5.
Southern Ute tribal elder, Kenny Frost along with Shiprock Chapter President Chili Yazzie led the ‘San Juan River March,’ with members of the Navajo Nation to bring awareness to the San Juan River after the recent contamination.
