Students create art

• Southern Ute and Ute Mountain youth learned the basics of drawing as well as sculpting during a Youth Art Workshop hosted by the Southern Ute Culture Department.
Boys and Girls staff member, Sierra Ed sketches a portrait of Keona Whyte. Ute Mountain Ute artist, Norman Lansing taught the drawing and painting portion of the workshop.
Tribal member and sculptor, Oreland Joe helped teach the youth the fundamentals of sculpting during the Youth Art Workshop Wednesday, July 15 at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum.
Participants work hard to complete their drawings during day one of the Youth Art Workshop.
