The 4th annual Powwow for the Planet at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, Nev. was held Saturday, April 12 – Sunday, April 13. Southern Ute Tribal member, Edward Box III was the head man dancer during the powwow. Drinks and bags were given to powwow attendees and singers (drum groups) during a special to honor Edward Box III. The Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s Royalty and Sunshine Cloud Smith Youth Advisory Council also attended this event to learn about leadership.
