Obituary: Norma Fern Waratza Bojorquez

Norma Fern Waratza Bojorquez, 75, passed away January 16th, 2016 of pneumonia in Colorado Springs,CO.

Norma was born to Victoria Waratza and McKean Taylor April 3rd, 1940 at the Taylor Hospital.

In her first marriage Norma proudly owned, cooked, and ran her own restaurant in Durango, CO. She lived out her life as a homemaker raising her children and grandchildren. She was a very giving person with a big heart and she loved spending time with her family. This Patriots fan loved her mornings watching the news with her cigarette and coffee in hand. Our Grandma Bear was the mediator, the healer, and the heart of the family. She openly spoke her mind and was very strong willed.

She is survived by her siblings, Sunni Dez Taylor, Henrietta Taylor, Sally Velasquez, Faith Taylor-Gomez, Laddie Taylor, Henry Taylor JR., children Jacqueline Harris, Manuelita Martinez, Davette Martinez, Norma Martinez, Ciana Bojorquez, her 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins in Ignacio, CO/Fort Deschene, Utah.

She is preceded in death by her Great Grandmother Josie Pinnecoose, Mother Victoria Waratza, Father McKean Taylor, Siblings Jack Taylor, Dean Taylor, Beverly Taylor, Jason Taylor, her children Victoria Mountain Lion Lee Harris, Sonny Leigh Harris, and Warren Clinton Charles Harris Sr.

A memorial will be held January 29th, 2016 at the Multipurpose Facility Chapel at 5:30. A potluck dinner will commence after the memorial in the Multipurpose Facility.
