Tribal elder Connie Baker and Patrol Attendant Deirryck Begaye share an embrace before enjoying a meal at the Senior Breakfast on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at the Multi-Purpose Facility. Every month tribal and local community elders get together to enjoy conversation over breakfast.
Little Miss Southern Ute, Cyana Whiteskunk assists her mother Daisy Eagle in serving elders breakfast during this month’s Senior Breakfast event at the Multipurpose Facility. Elders enjoyed biscuits and gravy, posole, eggs, bacon, and a variety of fruit.
Mabel Kent is the raffle winner of a new doTERRA brand humidifier donated by Judith Johnson. Throughout the Senior Breakfast elders also received a brief presentation–on the importance of Medicaid and how to receive assistance–from both Lori Herrera and David Tohnemah.
