Kate Harzell from the Southwest Colorado Area Health Education Center is joined by Dr. David Greenburg, Thursday, April 28; together they provided information to Tribal Council on the opioid crisis in our area, its health effects, and how to administer Naloxone, more commonly known as Narcan.
Southern Ute Behavioral Health’s Marvina Olguin shares how intergenerational trauma leads many Indigenous people to substance abuse. Olguin is facilitating a program which provides resources and support to those who are recovering.
