The PRIIP repair tour, on Friday, April 8, included tribal leadership, Water Resources Division staff, BIA Southern Ute Agency staff, and construction crew from Weeminuche Construction who completed all the repairs.
The drop structure pictured here was in desperate need of repair. Water was beginning to seep out of the older damaged structure evident by the willows seen parallel to the repaired system.
Council Member Dr. Stacey Oberly shares pictures with BIA, Southern Ute Agency’s Irrigation Manager. The photos show what the Pine River Indian Irrigation Project delivery system looked like prior to the rehabilitation.
The Morrison canal underwent significant repairs which will improve water delivery systems throughout the corridor. This ditch feeds into the Frost lateral.
