SunUte Mental Health Walk

During the month of May, which is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, numerous events were hosted by the Southern Ute Behavioral Health Division, SunUte Community Center, Shining Mountain Health and Wellness Program and the Multi-Purpose Facility to bring more information to the community about mental health. During the fourth week, there was: sewing, circuit fitness, walking and healthy alternative food classes held from Tuesday, May 25 through Friday, May 28. The highlight of the week was the “Walk for Mental Health” which was brought to the community by SunUte and featured a walk to Scott’s Pond from the SunUte Park area. The walk was held Thursday, May 25 and was attended by families, staff and community members.
