Earlier this month, Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy students took a field trip to The Wildlife Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colo. to visit the two black bears they fundraised to sponsor.
Skittles and Cupcake, are the names of the two female black bears the SUIMA students adopted. Both bears were saved from abusive owners and now reside in The Wildlife Animal Sanctuary in Kennesburg, Colo.
SUIMA students walk along a 40 ft. high bridge viewing the entirety of the animal sanctuary that is home to tigers, lions, foxes, wolves and bears.
