Casino offers free coaching clinics to youth bowlers

Rolling Thunder Lanes offers an awesome Youth Program. The Saturday Rolling Thunder Youth Bowling League has 25 bowlers that are faithful and come every Saturday at 10 a.m. usually finishing up around noon. Casey Whitaker is our USBC youth coordinator; she is dedicated person and does a great job with our area youth. The youth league is adult supervised by Casey and USBC registered adult volunteers.

Youth Bowlers are always ready to help each other and they encourage each other. They have the chance to become leaders and help other children become better bowlers.

There are a lot of opportunities for youth league. Each bowler can earn scholarship money for his or her education. There are 7 more scholarships that they would be able to apply for. We are dedicated in helping our youth to exceed in reaching their full potential.

We participate in a Scholarship Program called the Smart Program (Scholarship Management and Accounting Reports for Tenpins) which is administrated by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). In addition, some universities offer full Bowling Scholarships.

We started our first Coaching Clinic and it has been a success. We had 12 youth bowlers that came and learned some tips from a Certified Coach. They picked up some tips that would help them in the future with their bowling.

We are honored to have David Woods as our Certified Coach for our Center. He brings to us over 30 years of coaching experience and over 50 years of bowling experience with various sanctioning bodies. He is also a Member of the Hall of Fame in San Marcos, Texas.

Bowling is a sport and fun family activity that children can participate in.
