Three years ago on Jan. 7, 2012, Southern Ute tribal elder Eddie Box Jr., Southern Ute Royalty and heritage dancers headed up to the Vail Ski Resort to perform a snow dance – during an unusual drought that left many ski resorts suffering. The same day the dance was preformed the mountain received eight inches of fresh powder.
