WILLIAMS – Michael Spencer Williams passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was 56 years old.

Michael was born on November 7, 1960, to John Spencer Williams and Wanda Mae Accuttoroop in Durango, CO.

Michael is a member of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and a graduate from Bayfield High School. Michael always had a smile and willing to lend a helping hand. He was an excellent rancher and cherished his beloved cat. He loved going to the casino and playing cards.

He is survived by his brothers: Stanley “Bear,” Eric and Roderick Williams and Ronald Yellowbird; sisters: Elizabeth, Marianne, Michelle and Susan Williams as well as numerous relatives and close friends.

He is preceded in death by by his parents John Spencer Williams and Wanda American Horse; his brother John Chad Williams.

A Graveside Service was held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Ouray Cemetery in Ignacio.
