10 Years Ago: In Council Chambers the Elbert J. Floyd award was presented to a former employee of the Southern Ute Drum. Oolcu Buckskin-Valdez was awarded the educational award, which was given to her for her pursuing her education in English with Communication options.

20 Years Ago: Fernando Rael and Davis Wing show their Trophy catch a 20” rainbow trout. The fish was caught on the Pine River just south of Bayfield. Rael was using night crawlers as bait.
