The Tribe has acquired a brand new 2022 Caterpillar 120 AWD motor grader funded by the Tribal Transportation Program, this new equipment will be used to perform routine and preventative maintenance on eligible earthen and gravel roads, the motor grader will be used to reshape and repair deteriorated road sections this summer with support by personnel and additional equipment within the Construction Services Division. On Friday, May 20 the new motor grader received a traditional blessing by tribal elder and previous Tribal Planner, Nathan Strong Elk, afterwards attendees of the motor grader training each had individual in the cab training with Wagner Equipment staff focusing on grading techniques and overall operation of the Caterpillar grader.
