ELHI Community Center and the Town of Ignacio collaborated to ‘Light Up the Town’ of Ignacio, Friday, Dec. 4. Giving his reindeer a break before Christmas, Santa arrived via helicopter just in time to be in the parade. Local businesses donned lights and various Christmas icons, the decorated parade floats rolled through Ignacio to a fully lined street of spectators, observing the procession from inside their vehicles. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the parade was held in place of the traditional Taste of Christmas event, usually held in the ELHI Community Center during the holidays.
