Veterans, their families and survivors in La Plata County in Colorado are invited to participate in a Veterans Town Hall to hear the latest on VA benefit and medical programs. The Veterans Town Hall will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 5-7 p.m.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the La Plata County Veteran Service Officer are hosting the Veterans Town Hall at the American Legion Post 28 located at 878 E. 2nd Ave, Durango, CO, 81301.

The meeting is open to all members of the public, including Congressional stakeholders, Veterans Service Organizations, state and local governmental and non-governmental organizations, and community partners.

A VA benefit claims representative will be on hand to assist veterans personally during the evening with questions or issues related to compensation claims, home loan guaranty, vocational rehabilitation and employment issues and burial benefits. For veterans who have questions about medical issues, representatives from the New Mexico Health Care System will be available at the event for questions.
