The Power of Horses

Horses, humans, and history come together in this exciting new exhibition on the first floor of the History Colorado Center. No stone is left unturned on this meandering journey through Colorado history, from prehistoric horses and Ute tribal traditions to contemporary Black horsemanship and even therapeutic horses.

Be among the first to discover the exhibition’s mix of captivating artifacts and pop culture cues that explore the power of horses.  The Power of Horses reveals strength, majesty, and diversity in Colorado’s history through fun and fascinating stories of horses throughout our state.

Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. This Preview Celebration is complimentary but reservations are required. Kindly RSVP to Julia.Mayben@state.co.us. We ask that guests attending the preview show proof of Covid vaccination when checking in and wear a mask while at the event.
