ATTENTION STUDENTS ENTERING COLLEGE

If you are interested in expanding you education by entering college but are not sure if your academic skills are up to college standards, the ACCUPLACER test provides you information about your Math, English, and Reading skills. The results of the assessment, in conjunction with your academic background, goals, and interests, are used by academic advisors to determine your course selection. It is an on-line exam and is an untimed test. So, take your time, but you can plan on about an hour and a half to complete! The ACCUPLACER is a great indicator to 2 and 4 year Institutions for College Readiness. You do not “pass” or “fail” the placement test, but it is very important that you do your best on these tests so that you will have an accurate measure of your academic skill and preparedness for college level courses. Southwest Colorado Community College is conducting the test thought the Education Department in Ignacio. Education Department Building – Computer Lab at 1 p.m., Oct. 30. Cost is $10.
