The Boys & Girls Club (BGC) of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe wrapped up it’s summer program with a BBQ at the Ignacio Town Park, Friday, July 31. The overcast skies kept the day nice and cool, and the event had plenty of food and smiles. BGC youth workers, BGC board members, and a few Tribal Council members, enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers, and the club kids engaged in a shaving cream fight, water-balloon launch, and a flag football game between kids and staff members.
Registration is already underway for the “School Year” Boys & Girls Club. You can register at SunUte Community Center. Club starts Monday, Aug. 24.
