The Ignacio Middle and High School’s held their Spring Concert and awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 13 at the Ignacio Middle School. The spring concert comprised of the Ignacio High School Band, Choir, 8th Grade Choir and High School Combo ensembles, respectively.
The Spring Concert entertained with various talents in musicianship and singing. Awards were given to students from Ignacio Music Teacher, Katrina Hedrick in recognition of the highest honors possible for musicianship and singing.
Bagel performed ‘Say Something’ by A Great Big World, with David Baca on guitar, and Greg Bison and Elizebeth Galloway singing vocals.
Howard Richards III and Greg Bison sang ‘Demons’ by the Imagine Dragons accompanied by the High School Combo.
Sergio Howe kept the low end down on the bass guitar.
David Baca earned the Musicianship Award, the award was given to Baca for his dedication to all aspects of music, learning new instruments and always pushing himself to learn more.
Howard “Howie” Richards III (pictured), and Patricia Leroy sang ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams with the choir and combo ensembles.
