Obituary: Beulah J. Kent

KENT – Beulah Jane Kent was born September 27, 1951 in Durango, CO. She passed away on April 13, 2017.

She held many titles throughout her life from Rodeo Princess all the way to Carmelita of the Saint Ignatius Catholic Church.

She earned a high school diploma in 1969, visited Germany with the Southern Ute Cultural Dancers. After returning from Germany, she met Ronald Bison and with him they had four children. She later met Clement J. Frost and had one child.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Essie Kent; and six siblings.

Beulah is survived by two siblings and her five children: Alberta L. Bison-Doyebi, Frances I. Bison, Charging Bear Bison, Agatha C. Bison, and Bobby Jo Frost; as well as 12 grandchildren: Gregory D. Bison, A-mya D. Bison, Breanna R. Pinnecoose, Randall V. Doyebi, Jr., Kristopher L. White, Cam’ron R. Doyebi, Shydon S. Pinnecoose, Julian T. White, Jasmyn N. Doyebi, Marcus T. White, Kaya R. Bison and Nuna B. Bison.

A public viewing will be held at Hood Mortuary Wednesday, April 19, 2017 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. No graveside services as informed by the family.
