The Southern Ute Wildlife Division is pleased to announce the arrival of a female osprey to our nest at Lake Capote. She is busy rebuilding the nest, which can be viewed via the webcam at http://www.lakecapote.com/osprey-cam. We hope to see the male arrive in the next few days, and expect to see continued nest-building, mating, eggs being laid and hatching, and of course lots of fish being brought to the nest. The camera mount has been redesigned for 2018 to offer a wider view of the nest and the lake in the background. Also new for 2018 is a microphone at the nest, and we hope to have sound integrated into the video feed in the near future.
