TJ Herrera is a local community member and a Ute Mountain Ute tribal member. TJ has been with SUPD for a few months now. TJ just recently completed a 2-week training program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center/Indian Police Academy in Artesia, NM. TJ was just one of many students who attended this Tele Communicators Course. Students are sent to train at this academy, from all over Indian Country. TJ was recognized for being the top student in the class. TJ finished with an impressive 98.32 overall GPA.
