In order to ensure safe disposal when discarding medication, the Southern Ute Health Center and Southern Ute Police Department have made it easy for the public to dispose prescriptions when no longer needed. Drop off boxes are available at both the Southern Ute Health Center and Police Department locations. Narcotics and other controlled medications including Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, and Ativan are to be taken to the Southern Ute Police Department where they will be disposed. If controlled prescriptions and medication are brought to the Southern Ute Health Center, health center staff will transfer the medication to the police department for proper disposal.
