Intertribal Powwow in Colorado Springs

One Nation Walking Together is sponsoring a one-day Native American Intertribal Powwow (NAIP) on Saturday, July 16, at the Mortgage Solutions Financial EXPO Center, 3650 N. Nevada, Colorado Springs, Colo. Last year over 2,000 people attended this family-friendly event. Celebrate Native history and culture and enjoy Native drums and dancers, Native art and artisans, Diné (Navajo) Code Talkers, live wolf and birds of prey exhibits, Aztec Dancers, Native vendors and Native food, such as Indian tacos and fry bread.  Admission is $4. Native Americans in full regalia and children 12 and under admitted free. Please bring donations of non-perishable food to help feed the hungry. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a Gourd Dance at 10 a.m. Grand Entry at 11 a.m. No drugs, alcohol or pets, except service animals, permitted.
