Adrianne Chalepah, from Anadarko, OK, is not only a stand-up comedian; she is a film maker, writer and a motivational speaker. She draws on her experiences to give those she talks to the strength and courage to endure whatever hardships they may have.
Adrianne Chalepah (Kiowa/Apache) brought some humor and words of encouragement and empowerment to the students of the Ignacio High School during an assembly organized by the Native American Youth Organization (NAYO) Friday, Jan. 10. Chalepah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fort Lewis College.
Students met and shook hands with Chalepah after her performance at the high school. She performs with the ‘49 Laughs’ comedy troupe.
